Windy Hill staff offers private instruction, group classes, playing lessons, after school programs and video analysis.
Our instructors can tailor your lesson on any aspect of your game with a one- time visit or sign up for a discounted 6-lesson series. We can work on any of the following:
- Full swing from the mat or grass hitting surface
- Bunker play for green side and fairway bunker shots
- Work on your short game by learning to pitch and chip to our many targets on the range
- Use our 300 sq. ft. putting green to read the greens and improve your putting stroke.
Lessons are available every day from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm.

Our golf professionals are among the finest instructors in Virginia. They’re passionate, seasoned leaders in the sport with innovative strategies to get you or your kids hooked on golf. They know how to teach the game, make it fun and improve the skills of the students. These classes are guaranteed to stimulate your energy and enthusiasm for golf. Whether you’re new or want to improve and reach your golf potential, we guarantee you’ll have a ball!
Students are provided helpful handouts following each class for easy reference to what they’ve just learned, along with coupons towards use of our facility. If you don’t have clubs, we’re happy to provide clubs for our classes, until you’re ready to purchase. We also offer a club with a training grip, for $19.95 so you can practice. We want our students to get better! Our Pro Shop is fully stocked with the latest in equipment and footwear and we guarantee to have the best prices in town!
Adult Beginner Golf 
Fee: $125
For students with little or no golf experience, this class offers a great way to learn the game. We will cover all the basics including putting, chipping, and full swing. You’ll also learn etiquette do’s and don'ts, how to keep score and what is a handicap, what you need in your golf bag and in your pockets, how to set up a tee time, what is proper attire and so much more. Our Professional staff, will stress FUNdamentals in a friendly & informative environment.

Senior Clinic – 50 years and older Fee: $125
Come join other golfers 50 years and older and learn the fundamentals or refresh your existing skills. We will cover all the basics including putting, chipping, and full swing. Our Professional staff will be able to asset your existing equipment and or help you with the purchase of equipment designed to make the game more enjoyable for seniors.

Women-Only Beginner Series Fee: $125
Sign up to learn how to play golf without feeling intimidated or embarrassed and discover a sense of confidence that you belong on the golf course. Develop friendships with other women who are looking for someone to play and learn with. You will learn every aspect of the game from driving woods, irons, chipping and putting to rules and etiquette with a topping off of self confidence.

This series focuses on woman with a little experience who want to step to the next level. With short game: pitching, chipping, putting and bunker play you will definitely see improvement. If your chips have dips or your “bump and run” shot looks more like “bump and ruin,” then this is the class for you.

Adult Intermediate Golf Fee: $125
This one’s for golfers with some prior playing experience. We will be building greatness upon existing foundations. We also cover bunker play, reading greens, and learning to adapt your swing to those side hill lies. Sharpen your game and increase your confidence. Take this next step towards becoming a better player!

Adult-Youth Clinic Fee: $199 per 2 players
Adult – Junior combined. Would you like to spend more time with Junior golfer? Tired of your Junior Golfer beating you on the course? Why not work it out together by signing up for a game improving golf clinic. The bonus is while you get better at golf you spend quality time together.
This class is for beginner golfers as well as a refresher for existing players, you do not have to have the same skill level. All are welcome. One student must be 18 and older and the Junior must be 17 and younger. In four weeks we will cover the short game of chipping, pitching, putting and the full swing with woods and irons. We will also go over the equipment needed to play and enough golf etiquette and rules to make it fun to play together.

If you’ve ever thought about picking up a golf club, either for the first time or returning once again, you can make golf your sport for a lifetime.
The Get Golf Ready Program is designed to teach you in 5 short lessons everything you’ll need to know to step onto a golf course and get out to play with confidence.
Get Golf Ready is taught by PGA and LPGA Professionals who will make sure you have fun each step of the way. The first 4 classes cover the what, when, where, why and how. On the 5th day, you'll finish up by actually playing; keeping score and learning some basic rules like water hazards, out of bounds and lost balls.
