Janet has lived in Richmond since 1969 & calls it home. She has been playing golf since she was 9 years old. She was the 1st female golfer at Monacan High School, located in Chesterfield county. While receiving her Bachelor of Science in Sports Management at James Madison University she competed for 4 years on the women's golf team where she received a scholarship.

Turning professional in 1988 she taught in Maryland & then joined the Futures Golf Tour before returning to Richmond where she is co-owner of Windy Hill Golf & Sports Complex.
